Used it on my carbon fiber sup and it did a great job. I used a dremel to help shape the damaged area.

Incredibly easy to use, and very helpful/informative staff.

After being told by several local SUP shops that I should take my board to a professional for my problem, I was informed of this product by my father who had used it on his SUP. I managed to patch an exposed stringer on the nose of my Carbon Fiber SUP without issue!

Highly recommend the Solarez product line!

I made a major repair to my longboard, and I used the Solarez Epoxy Resin to address some of the smaller cracks and dings on the board. It worked really well with the small but deeper dings. I liked that the resin didn’t harden until exposed to UV light, which allowed me to work the gel into the cracks and voids. It also meant that there wasn’t any wasted product that had to be thrown out after each application.

It is important cover your repair with clear plastic prior to placing it in the sun. The epoxy resin won’t harden completely if exposed to air, and you’ll end up needing to sand through and off an uncured layer to get to the hardened surface. I had intended to glass over the Solarez-repaired area, but that wasn’t necessary.

All in all, a very clean and efficient product to address smaller repairs to your board.

After my board and other items took flight off my roof when my roof rack broke while going 80+ mph down the highway I was left with five large areas that cracked through the fiberglass. I was seriously contemplating taking a circular saw to it and cutting it down the middle to make shelving out of it until I heard of this product.

I cut out the cracked fiberglass with a dremel and sanded the edges of the cuts. I then went to fill in my first area basically using half the tube, put it in the sun, and the styrofoam shrank during the curing process leaving a large void/bubble under the semi cured layer of resin. I didn’t like that, so I cut it out and tried again. I found brushing on a very thin layer onto the foam and curing that as my base worked very well. I was working with very complexed curves (the back corners, sides, and nose) so I used clear packing tape to build dams for the resin and just worked in layers until the void was filled it. Once cured it sanded very easy and wet sanded to a glossy finish.

    Summary of tips:
    – brush on a thin layer first as a base
    – use clear packing tape to contour rough shape
    – work in layers
    – brush on final layer after filled in to seal edges
    – stated cure time is spot on
    – UV rays for a setting sun aren’t as effective, morning sun works better

I found a chip/dent on the rail of my stand up paddle board. It was about the size of a dime. Once I removed the compromised surface I realized the foam core was also compromised. When I was done cleaning the area out. The damage was dime sized and about 3/8 inch deep. Using Solarez I slightly filled the compromised area, applied a clear flexible plastic over the area as to compress and spread the epoxy beyond the damaged area. Exposed it to sunlight for about 10min. That’s it, done. Great porduct!!
